Sope of Activity
Agency for Privatization in the Federation BiH is specialized organization of the Federation BiH carrying out expert, advisory, promotional, educational and other tasks related to privatization. Within its scope, the Agency:
- Initiates preparation of laws and regulations in area of privatization and takes part in such preparation;
- Monitors and supervises enforcement of the laws and regulations in the field of privatization;
- Approves and conducts privatization of the companies which have their branches in several cantons and other companies for which the Agency is competent according to special regulations;
- Carries out the tasks related to the companies' passive sub-balance under its scope; ? Verifies fulfillment of obligations arising from purchase-sale contracts in the privatization process under its scope;
- Organizes training and updating in area of privatization, organizes and coordinates information-promotional and publishing activity and initiates and organizes researching activity in area of privatization;
- Reports to the Government of the Federation BiH on progress and results of privatization process;
- Provides advisory assistance to the cantonal privatization agencies (10 agencies) and coordinates their activities;
- Acts as arbitrator in disputes between cantonal agencies and other privatization process participants upon their request;
- Cooperates with relevant ministries, cantons, agencies and other bodies and organizations of the Federation and cantons, and international institutions and organizations;
- Keeps the records and statistics within its scope;
- Carries out other privatization – related tasks and duties as established by the laws and regulations.
